The selected films present alternatives narratives outside the dominant ones, breaking the binary structures to intersectional understandings between class, race, gender and religion. 

The third cinemas brings decolonized transformative perspectives. Using the immediate, sometimes precarious, technology to bring voice to those who can’t express their own vision, questioning the visual regime from the west. 

Understanding south as a counterpoint to neocolonialism, neofascism, social exclusion and marginalization.

The exhibition ‘Condition Room’ traces the ways in which artists reflect on their ongoing and compelling shift from being a newcomer to becoming gradually a Berliner. The participants of the first panel (also contributors to the exhibition) will discuss the concrete impacts of their lives in the city of Berlin on their art production and hint at the possible trajectories their practices might take in the coming years. 

The second panel will be focusing on the making of the exhibition. The exhibition crew will altogether assess the experience of the ‘Condition Room’, the conception of its thematic framework, the preparation of the architectural setting responding to this framework, the accumulated knowhow of working collectively, the inspirations of the project and meditate about what the next step would/should be.
